Decadent Chocolate Mousse (episode #19)


  • 4 oz) Semi-sweet chocolate
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • pinch cream of Tartar
  • 4 oz whipping cream

Chocolate Mousse Directions:

  • melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler
  • separate the eggs
  • temper egg yolks into chocolate and butter mixture
  • add a pinch cream of tartar to the egg whites and beat until stiff peaks
  • fold the eggs whites into the chocolate mixture
  • place into a glass cup or ramekins and chill till set
